Several risks can exist when a product is purchased from an unauthorized source. Such examples may include a product that is:

  • Stolen
  • Mishandled
  • Expired
  • Damaged.

To assist Eye Care Professionals and Retailers who follow our buying policies to provide authorized ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses for you, their patients, we are pleased to introduce the ACUVUE® Authorized Partner Program! This program will support Eye Care Professionals and Retailers in communicating their Authorized Partner status with Johnson & Johnson Vision Care division of Johnson & Johnson Inc. to ensure you have a signal that you are purchasing from an authorized source! Look for this logo!

What is an ACUVUE® Authorized Partner?
An ACUVUE® Authorized Partner follows our buying policies and has signed an agreement contract to continue doing so. This is assessed on an ongoing basis.

What are the risks if I don’t buy from an ACUVUE® Authorized Partner?
Risks can include but are not limited to product that is:

  • Counterfeit
  • Stolen
  • Mishandled
  • Expired
  • Damaged.

As a product that will be sitting directly on your eye, you want to ensure that you are using a genuine, high quality product.

How do I know if a website/retailer/Eye Care Professional is an ACUVUE® Authorized Partner?
Look for the ACUVUE® Authorized Partner logo (as shown above) on their website, social media channels or in their office. The logo may be showcased by itself or on a poster or other marketing material. The use of the logo and marketing material will be assessed by ACUVUE® Canada on an ongoing basis.

Will the ACUVUE® Authorized Partner logo be on my contact lens box or packaging?
The logo will not be on any packaging. You will see the logo and/or marketing material with the logo on websites, social media, in offices, etc. of the seller.

Can I buy from an ACUVUE® Authorized Partner without a prescription?
A contact lens is a medical device, which is why you need a prescription. Only an Eye Care Professional can properly measure your need for vision correction as well as determine which size and type of contact lens is best for you. Plus, changes that can occur to your vision and eye health over time can only be detected with specialized equipment and procedures.
