our recycling partner
our recycling partner
We chose Greenflow as our recycling partner because they offer end-to-end waste management solutions with environmentally friendly processes that help provide for a better planet. a greener planet
GIC-Greenflow works with the charity One Tree Planted so for every service they perform, a tree is donated. This way, Greenflow is helping replenish green spaces while also diverting waste materials from landfills. The trees are donated to various reforestation projects around the world, often in areas where planting brings economic and social benefits to local communities.

eco-friendly waste treatment technology
eco-friendly waste treatment technology
GIC-Greenflow is the only Canadian company (outside of Quebec) using a fully sustainable treatment machine for processing Canada’s increasing volumes of medical waste. Their technology produces zero emissions (no contaminated water, fumes, chemicals, or gas), requires minimal energy consumption, results in 80% waste volume reduction, and a recyclable waste by-product that is not required to be sent to a landfill or incineration facility (unlike the output from traditional processing machines).

recycling ACUVUE®
Greenflow is working with us to maximize our sustainability efforts and minimize our environmental footprint by recycling ACUVUE® materials. Effective recycling is a costly and arduous process, but our companies are committed to prioritizing the planet and the safety of all its inhabitants. At the outset, ACUVUE® materials will be hand-sorted due to the nature of the returned products. Contact lenses will be dried out, and all packaging elements separated based on their composition. The separated materials will be sent to affiliate recycling plants to be repurposed into thousands of different forms and products.
Nothing! The LensCycleTM pouches are free when you purchase you ACUVUE® contact lenses from a participating Eye Care Office.
1 pouch holds a 3-month supply of our recyclable material.
Your ACUVUE® contact lens and blister pack will be hand sorted. The contact lenses will be dried out (if necessary) and sent to affiliate for proper plastic recycling. All materials will be repurposed in thousands of different ways/materials. We will not send any material out to be sold or sent to landfill.
Important information for contact lens wearers: ACUVUE® Contact Lenses are available by prescription only for vision correction. An eye care professional will determine whether contact lenses are right for you. Although rare, serious eye problems can develop while wearing contact lenses. To help avoid these problems, follow the wear and replacement schedule and the lens care instructions provided by your eye care professional. Do not wear contact lenses if you have an eye infection, or experience eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, redness or other eye problems. If one of these conditions occurs, remove the lens and contact your eye care professional immediately. For more information on proper wear, care and safety, talk to your eye care professional and ask for a Patient Instruction Guide, call 1-800-267-5098 or visit acuvue.ca
